((HUZZAH for my first ever post as Dawny!! ))
"Homework.. What a miserable way to spend an afternoon." Dawn grumbled as she dropped her math and history books on her bed. If she had really existed for however many thousands of years, why was it she needed to study history? It didn't seem fair. But then.. She didn't really remember anything about those thousands of years. So she supposed that wasn't a valid excuse for neglecting to do the work required to pass school.
At any rate.. This was her last year of high school. She needed to pass her classes in order to graduate.. So that was a good enough excuse to get her to study the rater boring material before her. It promised that she would get a break from the annoying high school teachers. Besides that.. She wasn't required to go to college afterwards. No doubt Buffy would try to make her, and the rest of the Scoobies would most likely help.. But it would really be up to her. Of course, since she had heard that college wasn't as annoying as High School, even with all of the work, Dawn was pretty sure she would go anyway. She just hoped her sister wouldn't think it was because of her.
Dawn loved Buffy, but her sister had the habit of going on power trips. To Dawn, it seemed that Buffy thought that being the Slayer gave her the right to act like she was Queen of the World. That could get rather annoying.
The girl shook her head slightly. She shouldn't be thinking about her sister right now. The stack of homework sitting next to her was demanding her attention. Dawn grimaced. Just because she was willing to do it in order to get out of the hellhole known as school didn't mean she had to like it.
As she got out her pencil, Dawn thought how fititng it was for her to think of Sunnydale High as a hellhole. Seeing as how the entirity of Sunnydale was sitting on a Hellmouth. And Sunnydale High had the habit of being plagued with the products of said Hellmouth.
Again, she shook her head. "Homework." She commanded herself and picked up the first page from her stack. It was a history assignment. Again with the history. With a grimace and a sigh, she pulled her textbook to herself, sprawled on her stomache, and set to work.
((OMG! That was fun. O_O If anyone wants to interrupt her studies and post here.. Feel free!! Heee..))

Kennedy headed up the stairs in the Summers’ house slowly, taking her time. Time, it was all she really seemed to have anymore. She had just returned home from her usual daily trip through the many Graveyards of Sunnydale. She tried to go over the Graveyards everyday so that at nighttime, when she went on the hunt, she would have no surprises waiting for her in places she was unaware of. Besides... hanging around the house meant the possibility of running into Willow, not that there was anything wrong with this. Kennedy loved Willow; it was just that lately she had been with that bitch Tara a lot... and spending less time with Kennedy...
Still, Kennedy wouldn’t let that bother her. When she reached the top of the stairs Kennedy stopped. She had been intending to go see if Willow was in her room, but Kennedy so wasn’t going to do this if Tara was here with her. Who knew what she’d be walking in on? So she looked up the length of the hallway at the top of the stairs deciding what she wanted to do. Hearing a noise coming from Dawn’s room, she made up her mind to go there instead. Dawn always seemed to be filled with useful information. She would surely be able to let Kennedy know whether Tara was there or not.
Strolling over to Dawn’s bedroom door she entered the room. Dawn was lying on her stomach reading some book that Kennedy could not see the title of. “Hey Dawn.” She moved closer and sat beside her on the bed. “What you reading?” Reaching for the book, Kennedy’s hand stopped in midair as she noticed what sort of stuff it was talking about. History? “Oh... How boring.” Kennedy retrieved her hand and looked Dawn directly in the face. “You’re not reading that out of freewill are you? I mean, it’s ok if you are but...” She stopped talking and kept her eyes on Dawn.
((OOC: OK, It’s horrible... I know... but it’s my first Kennedy post and I so didn’t know what I was supposed to do...))
